Oak Veneer Seat

The oak veneer seat of this bar stool combines strength and beauty of engineered wood with a veneer surface to create a stunning yet affordable option. We start with an MDF base which is created by breaking down solid wood residuals into fibres, combining them with wax and resin binders to form a dense, sturdy board. 

Solid wood planks are then laminated onto the engineered wood core. The thickness of the solid wood layer significantly contributes to the overall thickness of the finished seat. A thin layer of adhesive specifically formulated for bonding vinyl to wood surfaces is applied to the top surface of the prepared engineered wood core. 

Next, a high-quality polyvinyl chloride vinyl with stunning wood grain is carefully applied onto the adhesive-coated surface. The vinyl is smoothed and pressed to ensure a bubble-free and seamless application. Finally, we apply a clear lacquer to the finished vinyl surface for added protection against scratches, stains, and fading.

Our matte black powder coated metal frames undergo a fascinating transformation, marrying industrial strength with sophisticated aesthetics. The journey begins with choosing the right metal - steel is a popular choice due to its strength & durability. Using techniques like laser cutting, CNC machining, or bending, we transform the metal into the desired frame shape with high accuracy. It then undergoes degreasing to get rid of any surface contaminants for optimal adhesion of the coating. 

The heart of the process lies in the electrostatic powder coating - dry, finely ground particles of paint resins & hardeners, are sprayed onto the charged metal frame. The coated frame is then baked at 350°C, followed by slow cooling, to melt and solidify the powder into a durable finish that resists corrosion and daily wear & tear.

• Gentle Cleaning: For routine maintenance, use a soft, damp cloth or sponge to delicately wipe away dust and smudges from the surface. This ensures a clean and well-maintained appearance without the risk of scratching or damaging the table.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or ammonia-based products, as they can damage the vinyl film.

• Counter Height: Before making your decision, make sure to measure the distance from the floor to the underside of your countertop or bar to find out the best seat height for your bar stools. As a general rule, a gap of around 25cm to 30cm is suitable. This allows people to sit comfortably with ample legroom and promotes ergonomic seating at your countertop or bar.
