Our solid oak dining furniture, renowned for its timeless elegance and enduring strength, undergoes a meticulous manufacturing process. The journey begins with the selection of premium oak for its strength, grain patterns, and distinctive character. 

The chosen logs undergo kiln drying, a controlled process using heat and airflow to reduce moisture content to a specific level. This crucial step prevents warping, cracking, and ensures structure integrity over time. 

Seasoned logs are then cut into planks of desired thickness using band saws. Depending on the design, we may use various joinery techniques like mortise & tenon joints, dowel joints or dovetail joints to assemble different individual components.

To enhance the natural beauty of the oak and achieve the desired aesthetic, we apply eco-friendly stains or oils. These highlight the wood's grain patterns and rich tones. Finally, a layer of protective sealant is applied to safeguard the wood from everyday wear and tear, moisture, and stains, ensuring the furniture's longevity.

Sizing Guide

• Space: You'll need to make sure the table is large enough to seat the number of people you want, but also small enough that it doesn't crowd the room. Allow at least 90cm of clearance around the table so that people can comfortably sit and get up.
• Table Shape: For long rooms and open spaces, rectangular or oval tables often are the most natural fit, maximising space utilisation and creating a balanced look. Round or square tables can also work if you want to leave extra room for additional furniture pieces to complement your dining area.
