Linen effect upholstery, an innovative fabric, emulates the organic charm of genuine linen while offering distinct advantages for dining chairs. Creating the synthetic linen fabric for our dining chair upholstery involves a multi-step process that ensures quality and durability. 

Our manufacturing process first starts with a base fabric blend, which is composed of high-quality polyester and cotton which provides stability and structure. These fibres are then spun into yarns. Next, the yarns are woven into fabric on advanced looms, using patterns like plain or herringbone. 

Finally, the linen fabric undergoes finishing processes, which include softening and ironing to enhance its texture and appearance, resulting in a versatile and attractive material that combines the classic look of linen with the resilience required for everyday use in our dining chair upholstery.

Solid Rubberwood Legs With High Gloss Lacquer

Rubberwood's popularity in dining chair frames is due to its eco-friendliness and sustainability. Since rubber trees are initially cultivated for latex extraction, using rubberwood for furniture repurposes the wood that would otherwise be discarded.

The journey of crafting a durable rubberwood dining chair frame involves a series of steps, beginning with the initial harvesting and culminating in thought-out design and construction. After the rubberwood is harvested, it undergoes a drying process to reduce its moisture content, making it suitable for furniture construction. 

The shaped wood is then assembled using joinery methods such as mortise and tenon or dovetail joints, ensuring a seamless and durable integration of the carefully crafted chair frame design.

To optimise adhesion for the lacquer finish, a primer is first applied. Following this, multiple layers of lacquer are sprayed onto the chair leg, with drying time in-between coats to ensure consistent application and an even finish. This process is repeated several times to build up the desired level of sheen. Subject to the desired look, we may use open-grain lacquers to highlight the wood grain, or closed-grain lacquers offer a smoother finish.

Foam Cushioning

Our dining chairs are fitted with thoughtfully crafted foam cushioning, made from high-quality polyurethane foam. The manufacturing process is extensive, starting with the precise combination of chemical ingredients like polyols and isocyanates. This controlled reaction produces a foam-like material. By introducing gas, we expand this mixture, resulting in lightweight yet supportive, body-conforming foam. 

The foam is then cut and shaped to fit the chair's design. To ensure durability, we subject the foam to extensive testing, including compression and abrasion tests. These tests simulate the wear and tear the foam might experience during everyday use, such as people sitting and getting up from the chair.

• Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, a damp cloth paired with a mild detergent, preferably pH-balanced, proves effective. Gently blot the stained area, ensuring not to rub, and follow up by blotting with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess moisture. 
• Avoid Excessive Moisture: While our polyester linen is water-resistant to a degree, prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to discolouration or peeling. Avoid using excessive water during cleaning.

Sizing Guide

Chair Spacing: Maintain a space of at least 15cm between dining chairs to prevent overcrowding. Adequate spacing allows diners to move in and out of their seats easily, promoting a more enjoyable and functional dining experience. Consider the overall dimensions of the dining area when determining the optimal chair spacing.

Space to Move: Leave around 60cm between the chair back and your wall. This allows you and your guests to sit comfortably and manoeuvre without feeling cramped. Proper proximity ensures a seamless dining experience, allowing people to access their seats with ease.

Number of Chairs: Assess the available space around the dining table to determine the practical number of chairs that can comfortably fit. Consider the table's size, shape, and room dimensions to ensure adequate spacing between chairs for both visual appeal and ease of movement. Below is a general guide, but these are flexible dependent on the chair size and desired level of comfort:

Rectangular Tables

• 100cm or below: 4 people
• 110cm-170cm: 4-6 People
• 180cm-220cm: 6-8 People
• 230cm and above: 10+ People

Round Tables

• 60cm-80cm: 2 People
• 90cm-110cm: 4 People
• 120cm-150cm: 4-6 People
