High Density Foam Cushioning

When it comes to sofas, comfort reigns supreme. High-density foam plays a crucial role in achieving that perfect balance between plushness and support, ensuring hours of comfortable seating.

Crafting high-density foam for sofas involves an extensive process designed to achieve a densely packed yet weight-absorbing structure. High-quality polyurethane with a specific chemical composition is used as the base material. The PU is mixed with additives and undergoes a controlled chemical reaction, causing it to expand and solidify. Precise temperature and pressure control are crucial for achieving the desired density. The cured foam is carefully cooled and stabilised to ensure it retains its shape and density.

Unlike lower-density foams, high-density options resist flattening and maintain their shape over time. This ensures your sofa remains comfortable and supportive throughout its lifespan. High-density foam provides better support for your body, distributing weight evenly and minimising pressure points. This translates to reduced fatigue and increased comfort, even during extended lounging sessions.

S-Sprung Seating & Supportive Webbing

Sinuous springs are made of high-tensile steel wire formed into a continuous zigzag ("S") shape. The ends of the springs are secured to the sofa frame using metal clips, hooks, or specialised fasteners designed for high holding power and minimal frame damage. 

Multiple S-springs are arranged in parallel rows across the frame, with a consistent spacing between each spring. This spacing plays a role in the overall firmness and flexibility of the system. Sinuous springs are known for their long lifespan and ability to spring back to their original shape, due to their steel construction which can withstand heavy use and significant weight.  

The "S" shape of the springs allows them to flex and distribute weight evenly across the frame. They provide enough firmness to prevent the user from sinking too deeply, while still allowing for some give and responsiveness for a comfortable seating experience. The foam layer placed on top of the S-spring system adds cushioning and pressure point relief.

The back of this sofa features a different support system. Supportive webbing, crafted from durable nylon is precisely woven on specialised looms, ensuring consistent strength and flexibility throughout the material. The woven webbing is carefully stretched across the back frame, creating a firm and evenly distributed foundation layer for the foam cushioning placed on top. The webbing system and the back cushions work together to provide a pressure-relieving and balanced seating experience.

• Spot Cleaning: Address spills promptly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it can spread the spill and potentially damage the fabric. For liquid spills, blot first to absorb as much as possible.
• Avoid Harsh Cleaning Products: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaning agents, as they can damage the fabric. Opt for mild, water-based cleaning solutions that are suitable for fabric sofas.

Sizing & Buying Guide

Length & Width: Measure the longest and widest areas where you plan to place the sofa. Also Measure the doorways and hallways the sofa needs to pass through during delivery.

Account for Traffic Flow: Imagine walking through your living space. Ensure the chosen sofa allows comfortable movement without feeling cramped. As a general rule of thumb, aim for 45-60cm of clearance around the sofa for easy passage and space for other furniture such as a dining table set, side table or coffee table.
