The cut glass piece undergoes a tempering process for enhanced strength and safety. This involves heating the glass to a high temperature (around 600°C) and then rapidly cooling it with air blasts. This process creates compressive stress on the surface of the glass, making it significantly resistant to breakage and shattering, boasting 4 to 5 times the durability of standard glass with improved minor scratch & heat resistance. After tempering, the edges of the glass are polished to create a smooth and finished look.

Gold / Chrome Metal Frame

Creating our metal table bases with a stunning gold/chrome finish is a multi-step process. It begins with cutting and shaping the metal to the desired design, followed by precision welding for stability. After this, we carefully grind the surfaces to smooth perfection. 

For the gold finish, a thin layer of copper, followed by a layer of bright nickel which offers a higher reflectivity, are electroplated, laying the foundation for the gold colour. The final step involves electroplating the base with gold alloy for a luxurious touch. The newly gold-plated base is polished to a brilliant shine, highlighting the reflective properties of the chromium layer and accentuating its aesthetic appeal.

The chrome finish involves a slightly different process. The first layer involves electroplating the base with a thin layer of copper and nickel, which enhances corrosion resistance and provides a smoother surface for the final chrome plating. Finally, the electroplating process deposits a thin layer of chromium onto the nickel layer. The thickness of the chrome plating determines the final level of reflectivity and mirror-like finish.The newly chrome-plated base is polished to a brilliant shine, highlighting the reflective properties of the chromium layer and accentuating its aesthetic appeal.

Sizing Guide

Length: Measure the length of the wall or area where the console table will be placed. Ideally, your table should be about two-thirds of the wall's length or it should leave roughly 30cm on either side of the wall to achieve a balanced look without the table appearing lost or cramped.

Width: Measure the width of the hallway. Ensure at least 30-45 cm of clearance between your chosen table and any opposite walls or furniture. This allows for comfortable passage and prevents a crowded feel.

Consider Its Function:

• Entryway Console: If the console is intended to be a hallway table for holding keys, mail, or small items, opting for a narrower depth (30-40cm) is beneficial to ensure a practical and uncluttered entrance space.
• Living Room Console: In the living room, where the console is often a focal point for decorative items or cherished photos, consider a longer (100-120cm) and taller table. This provides an expansive surface for creating artful displays, allowing you to showcase your personal style.
• Behind the Sofa: Placing a console table behind the sofa can be a strategic design choice. To achieve a harmonious look, opt for a shorter table that complements the height of the sofa. The console table's width should be about two-thirds the length of your sofa to ensure the table doesn't block the view or disrupt the visual continuity in the room. 
• In the Bedroom: Choose a height that sits slightly above your bed frame for a cohesive look, and ensure the length of the table doesn't exceed the bed's width to maintain easy access and prevent a congested feel.
