Hard-Wearing Ceramic Marble Tabletop
Ceramic is a type of material known for its exceptional durability and versatility. Our ceramic is manufactured by heating natural clay, minerals, and other raw materials at high temperatures, which leads to a dense, hard, and non-porous surface. This process hardens the ceramic, removes moisture, and enhances its strength and durability.
Once fired, the ceramic base is ground and polished to achieve a smooth and level surface. This step ensures the surface is prepared for the lacquer application. Multiple layers of a high-gloss lacquer are applied to the ceramic base. This lacquer is specially formulated to mimic the appearance of real marble, incorporating pigments and textures to achieve realistic marble veining and patterns. Each layer is allowed to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
After the final lacquer layer is applied, the entire table undergoes a curing process to ensure the lacquer hardens completely and achieves its optimal gloss and durability.

- Realistic Marble Aesthetic: The high gloss marble effect finish on ceramic tables imparts a luxurious and sophisticated appearance, showcasing intricate veining and patterns emulating the timeless beauty of natural marble, adding a touch of opulence to your dining space.
- Easy Maintenance: The non-porous surface resists stains, and a simple wipe with a damp cloth is sufficient for routine cleaning. This ease of maintenance ensures that the table remains a source of beauty without requiring extensive care, contributing to a hassle-free dining experience.
- Affordability: Ceramic marble tables offer a cost-effective alternative to natural marble while delivering the same luxurious appearance. This affordability makes them accessible to a broader range of budgets, allowing you to enjoy the aesthetic appeal of marble without the premium price tag & demanding maintenance.
Care Guide (Table)
- Regular Cleaning: Maintain the table's sheen by regularly wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild cleaning solution can be used, avoiding abrasive cleaners to preserve the high gloss finish.
- Coasters & Placemats: While ceramic tables are resilient, using coasters under glasses and placing hot dishes on placemats or trivets is a good practice. This prevents potential heat damage and helps preserve the table's surface over time.
- Prompt Spill Cleanup: Promptly clean up spills to prevent staining. The non-porous nature of ceramic helps resist absorption, but swift action ensures the table stays pristine.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use harsh cleaners, scouring pads, acidic products like vinegar or citrus juice, or bleach on your ceramic marble table. These can damage the lacquer finish and potentially even the ceramic itself.
PU Leather Upholstery
The process begins with the creation of a fabric base, made of polyester. This fabric forms the foundation for the PU coating. A polyurethane layer is then applied to this base, creating the leather-like texture. This fabric undergoes a bonding process with a polyurethane layer, achieved through heat and pressure application, creating the characteristic leather-like texture.
Following the bonding of polyurethane to a fabric base, the PU leather undergoes essential treatments. Through embossing, natural grain patterns are replicated, creating a tactile feel that closely resembles genuine leather. Colouration, achieved through pigments or dyes, offers a broad spectrum of colours, from classic tones to vibrant shades, catering to diverse design preferences.
Finally, an additional coating and finishing treatment is applied, contributing to its durability, creating a protective layer against stains and scratches, while adding a polished lustre to the PU leather, resulting in a visually appealing and versatile material for crafting stylish and resilient chairs.
Key Benefits (Leather)
- Ease of Maintenance: Cleaning PU leather is simple, requiring only a damp cloth to wipe away spills or dust. The material's resistance to stains makes it a practical choice for dining areas where occasional spills are common.
- Allergy Friendly: The allergy-friendly nature of PU leather makes it an ideal choice for those with sensitivities. Unlike traditional upholstery materials, PU leather doesn't provide a hospitable environment for allergens or dust mites to accumulate.
- Sustainable Choice: PU leather is crafted from synthetic materials, reducing the need for large-scale animal farming and the associated environmental impact. Moreover, the production process generally involves fewer resources and emits fewer pollutants compared to the energy-intensive and chemically involved tanning processes associated with genuine leather.
- High Abrasion Resistance: Our PU leather boasts excellent resistance to wear & tear, exceeding 50,000 Martindale rubs. This exceeds industry standards for heavy-duty use, ensuring the chairs maintain their pristine appearance for years to come.
- Stain & Minor Scratch Resistance: The non-porous treatment of PU leather repels liquids and resists minor scratches, making it easier to clean up spills and prevent permanent marks. This is particularly beneficial in homes with children or pets.
- Fire Retardancy: Both of our PU leather & polyester velvet upholstery are fire-resistance tested, complying with the UK fire safety standards for your peace of mind.
- Ergonomic Design: Engineered for optimal support, these chairs cradle your body, promoting healthy posture. The combination of ergonomic principles and high-quality foam ensures a delightful dining experience with lasting comfort.
- Open Back Design: The open back design not only imparts a modern and airy aesthetic but also introduces an element of visual lightness, making these chairs an ideal choice for creating an inviting and spacious ambiance in your dining area.
Care Guide (Leather)
- Regular Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth on a routine basis to effectively remove dust particles and prevent the accumulation of dirt. This practice not only ensures a consistently clean and polished look but also safeguards against potential abrasions that can occur when dirt particles settle on the surface over time.
- Spot Clean: Promptly address spills by gently blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it may drive the spill deeper into the PU leather. For liquid spills, use a paper towel to absorb as much as possible before blotting.
- Gentle touch: Avoid using harsh brushes or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the fibres.
- Mild Cleaning Agents: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or potent cleaning agents when caring for PU leather. Opt for gentle, water-based cleaning solutions and test it on a small area to ensure compatibility before application.
Velvet Upholstery
Velvet upholstery is a luxurious and highly sought-after choice for dining chairs due to its exceptional tactile qualities and elegant visual appeal. Our velvet is made from a carefully curated blend of polyester and cotton fibres, and the manufacturing process involves weaving these fibres into a dense pile fabric.
What sets our velvet apart is the specific method of weaving we use which results in its hallmark soft and plush texture. This process creates a series of closely spaced, evenly cut loops on the fabric's surface, which we then shear to create a smooth, dense pile. The loops and their uniform distribution are key to velvet's characteristic feel and shimmering appearance.
The result is a fabric that exudes opulence and sophistication, making it a popular upholstery choice for those looking to infuse a touch of luxury into their dining spaces. Our velvet upholstery undergoes rigorous testing to ensure its durability, preventing issues like bobbling or fraying over time, making it a reliable choice for long-lasting dining chair upholstery.
Key benefits (velvet)
- Enhanced Stain Resistance: The fabric undergoes treatments to make it more resistant to stains, making it a practical choice for dining chairs. Minor accidental spills are easier to clean, preventing long-term damage and maintaining the chairs' aesthetic appeal.
- High Abrasion Resistance: Our polyester velvet boasts a Martindale rub count around 50,000, exceeding industry standards for heavy-duty use. This translates to exceptional resistance to pilling, fraying and tearing, making it ideal for high-traffic dining areas and frequent use.
- Soft & Plush Texture: The densely woven pile creates a luxuriously soft and inviting surface, providing exceptional comfort while seated. This is further enhanced by the inherent suppleness of polyester fibres, which drape and conform to the body for added comfort.
- Breathable Fabric: Despite its dense pile, our polyester velvet exhibits good breathability, allowing air to circulate and preventing excessive heat build-up, especially during warmer months. This contributes to a more comfortable dining experience.
- Low Maintenance: The smooth, non-porous surface of polyester velvet resists dust and dirt accumulation, making it easy to maintain. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is sufficient for removing dust and debris.
- Fire Retardancy: Both of our polyester velvet & PU leather upholstery are fire-resistance tested, complying with the UK fire safety standards for your peace of mind.
Care guide (velvet)
- General Cleaning: Avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents, as they can damage the fabric and cause fading. Spot cleaning is recommended for most stains. Avoid overall washing, as it can shrink or distort the fabric.
- Spot Cleaning: Address spills promptly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it can push the spill deeper into the fabric. For liquid spills, use a paper towel to soak up as much as possible before blotting.
- Gentle touch: Avoid using harsh brushes or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the delicate fibres.
- Use Mild Cleaning Agents: Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong cleaning agents on velvet dining chairs to prevent fabric damage, colour fading, and texture alteration. Opt for gentle, water-based cleaning solutions and always test in a small, inconspicuous area before application to ensure compatibility.
- Occasional Vacuuming: Vacuum your velvet chairs occasionally to help remove deeper dirt, dust mites and pet hair that can accumulate in the fabric. Use the lowest suction setting on your vacuum cleaner & always vacuum in the direction of the nap to avoid damaging the fibres and pay extra attention to the seams and crevices where dirt can accumulate.
Soft Foam Seat
These dining chairs are fitted with thoughtfully crafted foam cushioning, made from high-quality polyurethane foam. The manufacturing process is extensive, starting with the precise combination of chemical ingredients like polyols and isocyanates. This controlled reaction produces a foam-like material. By introducing gas, we expand this mixture, resulting in lightweight yet supportive, body-conforming foam.
The foam is then cut and shaped to fit the chair's design. To ensure durability, we subject the foam to extensive testing, including compression and abrasion tests. These tests simulate the wear and tear the foam might experience during everyday use, such as people sitting and getting up from the chair.
Sizing Guide
Chair Spacing: Maintain a space of at least 15cm between dining chairs to prevent overcrowding. Adequate spacing allows diners to move in and out of their seats easily, promoting a more enjoyable and functional dining experience. Consider the overall dimensions of the dining area when determining the optimal chair spacing.
Space to Move: Leave around 60cm between the chair back and your wall. This allows you and your guests to sit comfortably and manoeuvre without feeling cramped. Proper proximity ensures a seamless dining experience, allowing people to access their seats with ease.
Table Shape: For long rooms and open spaces, rectangular or oval tables often are the most natural fit, maximising space utilisation and creating a balanced look. Round or square tables can also work if you want to leave extra room for additional furniture pieces to complement your dining area. For smaller dining areas, round or square tables are often the ideal choice, promoting conversation and creating a sense of intimacy.
Number of Chairs: Assess the available space around the dining table to determine the practical number of chairs that can comfortably fit. Consider the table's size, shape, and room dimensions to ensure adequate spacing between chairs for both visual appeal and ease of movement. Below is a general guide, but these are flexible dependent on the chair size and desired level of comfort:
Round Tables
- 60cm-80cm: 2 People
- 90cm-110cm: 4 People
- 120cm-150cm: 4-6 People
