Solid Mango Wood Dining Bench

Our reputable manufacturers source mango wood from mature trees that no longer bear fruit, ensuring an eco-friendly and renewable material for furniture production. Logs are carefully chosen for their grain patterns, colour variations, and presence of knots to ensure consistent quality in the final product. 

The harvested wood undergoes a seasoning process (air-drying), to reduce moisture content and prevent warping or cracking later. The logs then undergo milling, a process of shaping the wood into uniform pieces that will form the various components of the dining bench. Depending on the specific design, we use joinery techniques like dowels, mortise and tenon joints or finger joints to assemble the bench components. 

Next comes sanding which removes imperfections and creates a smooth surface to prepare the bench for final polishing. To complete the process, a protective clear lacquer or natural oil finish is applied to enhance the wood's natural beauty and protect it from moisture, minor stains & scratches.

• Dust Regularly: Use a soft, dry cloth to regularly dust the surface of your mango wood furniture, preventing the buildup of dirt and debris.
• Spills and Stains: Address spills and stains promptly. Blot up any liquids with a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can strip the wood's natural finish and cause damage.
• Cleaning Solution: For occasional deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution (like a few drops of dish soap in warm water). Apply the solution to a damp cloth, wring it out well to avoid excess moisture, and wipe down the table surface. Dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.
• Drying: Ensure the wood dries completely after cleaning to prevent water stains or warping. Never leave a damp cloth on the bench.

Reclaimed Metal Frame

Giving new life to discarded materials is not only sustainable but also creates unique and characterful pieces like the reclaimed metal base of this bench. Not all reclaimed metal is equal, each piece is carefully inspected for its structural integrity, natural markings & textures to ensure it's suitable for furniture. Selected metal pieces undergo a thorough cleaning process to remove dirt, debris, and any surface contaminants. 

Depending on the design, the metal is then cut and shaped using techniques such as oxygen-fuel cutting or plasma cutting. To achieve the black finish, a primer is applied to ensure proper adhesion of the lacquer and provide a smooth base coat. Multiple coats of high-quality black lacquer are applied, allowing for drying time between each coat. The finished surface may be lightly sanded and buffed to achieve a smooth, even finish with the desired level of sheen.
