Suede Effect Upholstery

Our suede effect bar stools are carefully crafted to emulate the luxurious texture of genuine suede while utilising synthetic materials. The foundation starts with a woven fabric, using polyester and nylon yarns for their abrasion resistance, stain repellency and general durability. 

The base fabric is then brushed to raise the fibres, creating a velvety texture resembling suede. Afterwards, the fabric is passed between heated rollers to ensure consistent thickness and prevent wrinkles. The heat also ensures that the texture remains consistent over time. As a final touch, our suede-effect fabric undergoes anti-pilling and fire-resistant treatments to meet certain performance standards.  

What sets our suede effect apart is the weaving technique we use, which involves intricately intertwining the polyester and cotton fibres into a dense weave, creating a sturdy base fabric foundation. The outcome is a fabric that exudes a premium, tactile quality and a visual allure reminiscent of authentic suede.

Soft Foam Seat

These bar stools are fitted with thoughtfully crafted foam cushioning, made from high-quality polyurethane foam. The manufacturing process is extensive, starting with the precise combination of chemical ingredients like polyols and isocyanates. This controlled reaction produces a foam-like material. By introducing gas, we expand this mixture, resulting in lightweight yet supportive, body-conforming foam. 

The foam is then cut and shaped to fit the bar stool's design. To ensure durability, we subject the foam to extensive testing, including compression and abrasion tests. These tests simulate the wear and tear the foam might experience during everyday use, such as people sitting and getting up from the bar stool.

Matte Black Metal Frame

Our matte black powder coated metal frames undergo a fascinating transformation, marrying industrial strength with sophisticated aesthetics. The journey begins with choosing the right metal - steel is a popular choice due to its strength & durability. Using techniques like laser cutting, CNC machining, or bending, we transform the metal into the desired frame shape with high accuracy. It then undergoes degreasing to get rid of any surface contaminants for optimal adhesion of the coating. 

The heart of the process lies in the electrostatic powder coating - dry, finely ground particles of paint resins & hardeners, are sprayed onto the charged metal frame. The coated frame is then baked at 350°C, followed by slow cooling, to melt and solidify the powder into a durable finish that resists corrosion and daily wear & tear.

Care Guide

• Regular Vacuuming: Use a soft brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust and debris from the suede effect upholstery. Regular vacuuming prevents particles from settling into the fabric.
• Prompt Spill Cleanup: Address spills promptly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it can push the liquid deeper into the fabric. For liquid spills, blot first to absorb as much as possible before cleaning
• Use Mild Cleaners: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong cleaning agents on your suede effect bar stools, as they can damage the synthetic fibres and affect the fabric's texture. Instead, use a mild soap & water solution for regular cleaning
• Brushing: Occasionally brush the fabric with a soft-bristled brush in the direction of the pile to revive its texture and prevent matting. Avoid harsh brushes that could damage the fibres.
• Test cleaning solutions: Before applying any cleaning solution, test it on an inconspicuous area of the fabric to ensure it doesn't cause discoloration or damage.

Buying Guide

• Counter Height: Before making your decision, make sure to measure the distance from the floor to the underside of your countertop or bar to find out the best seat height for your bar stools. As a general rule, a gap of around 25cm to 30cm is suitable. This allows people to sit comfortably with ample legroom and promotes ergonomic seating at your countertop or bar. Consider an adjustable bar stool, which allows for seamless height adjustment, ensuring comfortable seating for everyone.
• Backrest and Armrests: Decide if you prefer the support of a backrest or the freedom of movement offered by backless stools. Armrests can add comfort for prolonged sitting, but may not be suitable for tight spaces.
• Swivel vs. Stationary: When choosing between swivel and stationary stools, consider the dynamics of your space and the desired style.
