Oak Veneer Dining Table

Our oak veneer dining tables combine strength and beauty of solid oak with a veneer surface to create a stunning yet affordable option. We start with an MDF base which is created by breaking down solid wood residuals into fibres, combining them with wax and resin binders to form a dense, sturdy board. 

To achieve the appearance of natural oak, we apply an oak veneer to the MDF core, which is a thin layer of real oak wood known for its authentic wood-grain patterns. This veneer sheet provides stability and minimises any warping that might occur with solid wood. 

As a final touch, a protective finish is then applied, enhancing the wood's natural beauty and providing resistance to wear and tear.

Glide & Pullout Extension Mechanism

This table features an integrated glide and pullout extension mechanism, with a foldable extension panel tucked underneath the centre of the tabletop. To extend, simply pull the table outwards to unveil the hidden panel which can be unfolded with a smooth motion. Once unfolded, simply push the table back together and it will automatically lock into place, creating a smooth and continuous surface, allowing for an extra 2-4 guests when needed. To return the table to its original size, gently pull it apart, fold the panel back to its initial position, and once aligned, smoothly push the table back together.

White High Gloss Lacquered Legs

To achieve the high gloss finish, multiple layers of high-quality lacquer are applied to the base. This lacquer is meticulously smoothed between each layer to ensure a flawless, mirror-like surface. 

Once the final coat is in place, the base is carefully cured under controlled conditions. This curing process not only hardens the lacquer but also enhances its shine and offers remarkable resistance to stains.

• Gentle Wiping: For regular cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with water or a mild wood cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture.
• Use Coasters: Place coasters or mats under hot dishes, glasses, and heavy items to protect the surface from heat and pressure.
• Avoid Sharp Objects: Refrain from using sharp or abrasive items on the table to prevent scratches.
• Protect from Direct Sunlight: Minimise exposure to direct sunlight, as it can cause fading or discolouration over time.

Sizing Guide

• Space: Allow around 90 cm (36 inches) of clearance between the table and the walls or other furniture to ensure comfortable seating and movement.
• Table Shape: For long rooms and open spaces, rectangular or oval tables often are the most natural fit, maximising space utilisation and creating a balanced look. Round or square tables can also work if you want to leave extra room for additional furniture pieces to complement your dining area. For smaller dining areas, round or square tables are often the ideal choice, promoting conversation and creating a sense of intimacy.
