Tempered Glass Tabletop

Tempered glass tables are a contemporary and durable addition to modern dining spaces, combining style and resilience. The manufacturing process of our tempered glass begins with selecting thick, high-quality float glass, which offers superior clarity and minimal imperfections, ensuring a flawless visual experience. 

The cut glass piece undergoes a tempering process for enhanced strength and safety. This involves heating the glass to a high temperature (around 600°C) and then rapidly cooling it with air blasts. This process creates compressive stress on the surface of the glass, making it significantly resistant to breakage and shattering, boasting 4 to 5 times the durability of standard glass with improved minor scratch & heat resistance. After tempering, the edges of the glass are polished to create a smooth and finished look.

Stainless Steel Base

Transforming a simple stainless steel base into a dazzling centrepiece starts with selecting the appropriate grade of stainless steel for the table based on the desired level of corrosion resistance. 

The chosen stainless steel sheet is precisely cut into the desired shapes and dimensions of the base components using laser cutting, ensuring clean edges and minimal material waste. The individual bent and formed pieces are then welded together to create the complete base structure using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. The welded base undergoes grinding to remove any imperfections, welding marks, and achieve a smooth surface finish.

The base is then buffed using progressively finer abrasive materials to achieve a mirror-like finish. This process gradually removes surface irregularities and polishes the metal to a reflective shine. A thin layer of clear lacquer is applied to the polished chrome finish for added protection against smudges and minor scratches.
