Foam Cushioning

This dining bench is fitted with thoughtfully crafted foam cushioning, made from high-quality polyurethane foam. The manufacturing process is extensive, starting with the precise combination of chemical ingredients like polyols and isocyanates. This controlled reaction produces a foam-like material. By introducing gas, we expand this mixture, resulting in lightweight yet supportive, body-conforming foam. 

The foam is then cut and shaped to fit the bench's design. To ensure durability, we subject the foam to extensive testing, including compression and abrasion tests. These tests simulate the wear and tear the foam might experience during everyday use, such as people sitting and getting up from the bench.

Stainless Steel Legs

Transforming a simple stainless steel base into a dazzling centrepiece starts with selecting the appropriate grade of stainless steel for the bench based on the desired level of corrosion resistance. 

The chosen stainless steel sheet is precisely cut into the desired shapes and dimensions of the base components using laser cutting, ensuring clean edges and minimal material waste. The individual bent and formed pieces are then welded together to create the complete base structure using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. The welded base undergoes grinding to remove any imperfections, welding marks, and achieve a smooth surface finish.

The base is then buffed using progressively finer abrasive materials to achieve a mirror-like finish. This process gradually removes surface irregularities and polishes the metal to a reflective shine. A thin layer of clear lacquer is applied to the polished chrome finish for added protection against smudges and minor scratches.

• General Cleaning: Avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents, as they can damage the fabric and cause fading. Spot cleaning is recommended for most stains. Avoid overall washing, as it can shrink or distort the fabric.
• Spot Cleaning: Address spills promptly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it can push the spill deeper into the fabric. For liquid spills, use a paper towel to soak up as much as possible before blotting.
• Gentle touch: Avoid using harsh brushes or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the delicate fibres. 
• Use Mild Cleaning Agents: Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong cleaning agents on your velvet dining bench to prevent fabric damage, colour fading, and texture alteration. Opt for gentle, water-based cleaning solutions and always test in a small, inconspicuous area before application to ensure compatibility.
• Occasional Vacuuming: Vacuum your velvet bench occasionally to help remove deeper dirt, dust mites and pet hair that can accumulate in the fabric. Use the lowest suction setting on your vacuum cleaner & always vacuum in the direction of the nap to avoid damaging the fibres and pay extra attention to the seams and crevices where dirt can accumulate.
