PU Leather Upholstery

Our manufacturing process of PU leather begins with the creation of a fabric base, made of polyester. This fabric forms the foundation for the PU coating. A polyurethane layer is then applied to this base, creating the leather-like texture. This fabric undergoes a bonding process with a polyurethane layer, achieved through heat and pressure application, creating the characteristic leather-like texture.

Following the bonding of polyurethane to a fabric base, the PU leather undergoes essential treatments. Through embossing, natural grain patterns are replicated, creating a tactile feel that closely resembles genuine leather. Colouration, achieved through pigments or dyes, offers a broad spectrum of colours, from classic tones to vibrant shades, catering to diverse design preferences. 

Finally, an additional coating and finishing treatment is applied, contributing to its durability, creating a protective layer against stains and scratches, while adding a polished lustre to the PU leather, resulting in a visually appealing and versatile material for crafting stylish and resilient bar stools.

High-Density Foam Seat

When it comes to bar stools, comfort reigns supreme. High-density foam plays a crucial role in achieving that perfect balance between plushness and support, ensuring hours of comfortable seating experiences.

Crafting high-density foam for our bar stools involves an extensive process designed to achieve a densely packed yet weight-absorbing structure. High-quality polyurethane with a specific chemical composition is used as the base material. The PU is mixed with additives and undergoes a controlled chemical reaction, causing it to expand and solidify. Precise temperature and pressure control are crucial for achieving the desired density. The cured foam is carefully cooled and stabilised to ensure it retains its shape and density.

Unlike lower-density foams, high-density options resist flattening and maintain their shape over time. This ensures your bar stools remain comfortable and supportive throughout their lifespan. High-density foam provides better support for your body, distributing weight evenly and minimising pressure points. Stainless Steel Base

Stainless steel, the material used for the base of these bar stools, is a corrosion-resistant alloy made primarily from iron, with added elements like chromium and nickel. 

The chosen stainless steel sheets are cut and shaped into the desired base components using laser cutting to ensure precise cutting. Depending on the design, the flat pieces might need bending or forming to achieve the desired curves or angles. 

Next comes the electroplating process. The first layer involves electroplating the base with a thin layer of copper and nickel, which enhances corrosion resistance and provides a smoother surface for the final chrome plating. Finally, the electroplating process deposits a thin layer of chromium onto the nickel layer. The thickness of the chrome plating determines the final level of reflectivity and mirror-like finish. The newly chrome-plated base is polished to a brilliant shine, highlighting the reflective properties of the chromium layer and accentuating its aesthetic appeal.

Stainless steel is an excellent choice for bar stool bases because it’s exceptionally durable, resisting corrosion and wear, even in high-traffic areas. Additionally, it offers a modern and polished aesthetic, making it an ideal complement to various interior styles.

Care Guide

• Regular Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth on a routine basis to effectively remove dust particles and prevent the accumulation of dirt. This practice not only ensures a consistently clean and polished look but also safeguards against potential abrasions that can occur when dirt particles settle on the surface over time.
• Spot Clean: Promptly address spills by gently blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it may drive the spill deeper into the PU leather. For liquid spills, use a paper towel to absorb as much as possible before blotting.
• Gentle touch: Avoid using harsh brushes or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the fibres. 
• Mild Cleaning Agents: Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or potent cleaning agents when caring for PU leather. Opt for gentle, water-based cleaning solutions and test it on a small area to ensure compatibility before application.

Buying Guide

• Counter Height: Before making your decision, make sure to measure the distance from the floor to the underside of your countertop or bar to find out the best seat height for your bar stools. As a general rule, a gap of around 25cm to 30cm is suitable. This allows people to sit comfortably with ample legroom and promotes ergonomic seating at your countertop or bar. Consider an adjustable bar stool, which allows for seamless height adjustment, ensuring comfortable seating for everyone.
• Backrest and Armrests: Decide if you prefer the support of a backrest or the freedom of movement offered by backless stools. Armrests can add comfort for prolonged sitting, but may not be suitable for tight spaces.
• Swivel vs. Stationary: When choosing between swivel and stationary stools, consider the dynamics of your space and the desired style.
