Engineered Marble Tabletop

Engineered marble is an innovative composite material made to replicate the luxurious aesthetics of natural marble. Our engineered marble tables are made from 90% natural marble chips and crushed stone which is combined with polyester resin binders. 

This mixture is poured into moulds to achieve the desired shape and size. The cast base undergoes a controlled curing process under specific temperature and pressure conditions. This allows the polyester resin to crosslink and solidify, transforming the mixture into a rock solid and stable material. Once cooled, the surface undergoes a grinding and polishing process using diamond-tipped grinding wheels, ensuring a flawlessly smooth and level foundation.

Multiple coats of high-quality lacquer specially formulated for engineered stone surfaces are then applied to the table. This is what creates the coveted high-gloss finish and adds the unique veining and intricate patterns, replicating the natural variations of real marble. These layers aren't just for aesthetics; they act as a protective shield, ensuring resistance to stains, minor scratches, moisture and even UV rays.

Stainless Steel Base

Transforming a simple stainless steel base into a dazzling centrepiece starts with selecting the appropriate grade of stainless steel for the table based on the desired level of corrosion resistance. 

The chosen stainless steel sheet is precisely cut into the desired shapes and dimensions of the base components using laser cutting, ensuring clean edges and minimal material waste. The individual bent and formed pieces are then welded together to create the complete base structure using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. The welded base undergoes grinding to remove any imperfections, welding marks, and achieve a smooth surface finish.

The base is then buffed using progressively finer abrasive materials to achieve a mirror-like finish. This process gradually removes surface irregularities and polishes the metal to a reflective shine. A thin layer of clear lacquer or other protective coating is applied to the polished chrome finish for added protection against smudges and minor scratches.

Care guide

• Regular Cleaning: For routine maintenance, wipe your engineered marble table with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild soap solution for any stubborn stains, but avoid abrasive cleaners that can dull the surface.
• Prompt Spill Cleanup: Spills should be wiped up promptly to prevent staining. Although engineered marble is more stain-resistant than natural stone, certain substances, if left unattended, can penetrate the sealant.
• Extra Protection: While engineered marble boasts a minor scratch & heat resistant surface, it is still advisable to protect the table's surface by using coasters under glasses, placing hot dishes on trivets or using placemats under plates & cutlery to ensure the table maintains its aesthetic appeal over time.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, acidic products (vinegar, citrus cleaners), or bleach, as they can dull the finish, etch the surface, or cause permanent stains.

Sizing Guide

• Space: Allow at least 90 cm (36 inches) of clearance between the table and the walls or other furniture to ensure comfortable seating and movement.
• Table Shape: For long rooms and open spaces, rectangular or oval tables often are the most natural fit, maximising space utilisation and creating a balanced look. Round or square tables can also work if you want to leave extra room for additional furniture pieces to complement your dining area. For smaller dining areas, round or square tables are often the ideal choice, promoting conversation and creating a sense of intimacy.
