Bouclé is a textured fabric that has gained popularity in the world of bar stools due to its distinctive appearance and comfort. We craft our boucle bar stools using a quality blend of wool, cotton, & polyester, which are tightly looped or curled, creating its unique, tactile texture.

Once the weaving is complete, the fabric undergoes a crucial brushing treatment. This step is where the magic happens – it enhances the looped texture and fluffiness of the fabric, creating the distinctive, soft, and cosy feel that people love about bouclé.  

As a final step, our bouclé upholstery receives a protective finish that not only enhances its tactile feel but also makes it more resistant to minor spills and thus easier to clean. Foam Cushioning

These bar stools are fitted with thoughtfully crafted foam cushioning, made from high-quality polyurethane foam. The manufacturing process is extensive, starting with the precise combination of chemical ingredients like polyols and isocyanates. This controlled reaction produces a foam-like material. By introducing gas, we expand this mixture, resulting in lightweight yet supportive, body-conforming foam. 

The foam is then cut and shaped to fit the stool's design. To ensure durability, we subject the foam to extensive testing, including compression and abrasion tests. These tests simulate the wear and tear the foam might experience during everyday use, such as people sitting and getting down from the stool.

Matte Black Powder Coated Metal Legs

Our matte black powder coated metal legs undergo a fascinating transformation, marrying industrial strength with sophisticated aesthetics. The journey begins with choosing the right metal - steel is a popular choice due to its strength & durability. Using techniques like laser cutting, CNC machining, or bending, we transform the metal into the desired frame shape with high accuracy. It then undergoes degreasing to get rid of any surface contaminants for optimal adhesion of the coating. 

The heart of the process lies in the electrostatic powder coating - dry, finely ground particles of paint resins & hardeners, are sprayed onto the charged metal frame. The coated frame is then baked at 350°C, followed by slow cooling, to melt and solidify the powder into a durable finish that resists corrosion and daily wear & tear.

Care guide

• General Cleaning: Avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents, as they can damage the fabric and cause fading. Spot cleaning is recommended for most stains. Avoid overall washing, as it can shrink or distort the fabric.
• Spot Cleaning: Address spills promptly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it can push the spill deeper into the fabric. For liquid spills, use a paper towel to soak up as much as possible before blotting.
• Gentle touch: Avoid using harsh brushes or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the bouclé fibres. 
• Use Mild Cleaning Agents: Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong cleaning agents on bouclé bar stools to prevent fabric damage, colour fading, and texture alteration. Opt for gentle, water-based cleaning solutions and always test in a small, inconspicuous area before application to ensure compatibility.
• Occasional Vacuuming: Vacuum your bouclé stools occasionally to help remove deeper dirt, dust mites and pet hair that can accumulate in the fabric. Use the lowest suction setting on your vacuum cleaner & always vacuum in the direction of the nap to avoid damaging the fibres and pay extra attention to the seams and crevices where dirt can accumulate.

Buying Guide

• Counter Height: Before making your decision, make sure to measure the distance from the floor to the underside of your countertop or bar to find out the best seat height for your bar stools. As a general rule, a gap of around 25cm to 30cm is suitable. This allows people to sit comfortably with ample legroom and promotes ergonomic seating at your countertop or bar. Consider an adjustable bar stool, which allows for seamless height adjustment, ensuring comfortable seating for everyone.
• Backrest and Armrests: Decide if you prefer the support of a backrest or the freedom of movement offered by backless stools. Armrests can add comfort for prolonged sitting, but may not be suitable for tight spaces.
• Swivel vs. Stationary: When choosing between swivel and stationary stools, consider the dynamics of your space and the desired style.
